An Antigonish native and St. FX graduate has received a prestigious award from Nova Scotia’s Engineering community.  Dalhousie Engineering professor Margaret Walsh, who teaches water and wastewater and Solid Waste Management,  has been named winner of the award for the Advancement of Women in Engineering by Engineers Nova Scotia.
Walsh says her path to a career in Engineering came quite by accident.  Walsh says she initially entered St. FX with the intention of completing a science degree.
Walsh says there are tremendous opportunities for women in engineering and more females are needed in the profession.
