Canadian Blood Services has issued an urgent appeal for donors. The agency says it needs 60-thousand blood donors nation-wide by Canada Day. There are several clinics locally to help Canadian Blood Services reach its goal. There was a clinic Thursday at Summer Street Industries in New Glasgow. Next Monday and Tuesday, clinics will be at St. Ninian Cathedral Parish in Antigonish, followed by Tamarac Education Centre in Port Hawkesbury on Wednesday and Thursday.
The Director of Donor Relations for Canadian Blood Services in Atlantic Canada, Peter MacDonald, says they’d like to replenish its supply for the summer.
MacDonald says it hopes to collect 15-hundred units of blood in Nova Scotia over the next two weeks
