Events at Inverness County Centre for the Arts:

Friday and Saturday, May 18 and 19 at 8:00, the Inverness County Centre for the Arts presents “Welcome Spring” performed by the West Side Performing Arts Cooperative. Admission $15.00 and $12.00 for students and seniors.

June 9 from 10 to 3 there will be a Community Yard Sale. Table rental $10.00. Admission is $1.00

The Nova Scotia Young Naturalists Club weekend long junior naturalists program for youth on May 25-27th in conjunction with Nature Nova Scotia at the Tatamagouche Centre. Youth will explore the basic skills of a naturalist including identifying species and observing and recording wildlife and nature. There are a variety of workshops being offered on birding, identifying trees, observing signs of wildlife and some great family field trips are planned to the Northumberland Shore and Sugar Moon Farm.  For information contact Robin at 902-455-5643.

Carma- Cat Rescue Maritimes has two 13 week old kittens available for adoption. They are both short haired. One is a female tortoiseshell and the other is a black male. Both have been feline leukemia tested, vaccinated, examined and treated for worms and fleas. Carma aslo pays for the booster shot 4 weeks later and the spay/neuter at 6 months. Carma does not sell its kittens but does request that you consider making a minimum charitable donation to assist us in continuing our work. call for more info 863 8372

The Antigonish Chapter of Cat Rescue Maritimes is starting a “Sponsor-A-Carma-Cat” Program , people can sponsor a cat for TNR. This will assist Carma volunteers in trapping, neutering and returning a greater number of cats than would be possible through our regular fundraising activities.
