For the fourth year in row, a member of the St. FX Hockey X-Men has won a major AUS award that recognizes community service.  Eric Locke, last year’s AUS MVP, has

been named winner of the Godfrey Award.  Locke volunteers with Fit 4 Life and Fit 4 Tots, a St. FX Human Kinetics community service program promoting healthy lifestyles to children.  Locke also is involved in the Antigonish Minor Hockey Mentorship Program, the Antigonish Multisport Program and the Paq’tnkek First Nation Learn to Play Initiative.  St. FX players to win this award the previous three seasons include Nathan Chairalitti, Rob Slaney and Murdoch MacLellan.  St. FX Head Coach Brad Peddle also won this award as a player in the 1998-99 season.
