Inverness County Centre for the Arts invites you to an afternoon of storytelling and workshops on this Saturday April 22. Starting at noon there’s a workshop on preserving old recordings, then at 1, we’ll have the opening reception of the exhibit Shared Stories of Inverness County.
From 1:30 on there will be Hector Doink Stories and more with a few in Gaelic with translation – and talks about the Gaelic storytelling tradition by Carmen MacArthur and Jeff MacDonald – wrapping up with a talk by John Donald Cameron on Recordings and the culture.
And of course there’ll be a good tea (and cash bar).
Admission is by donation and all are welcome to join us in an entertaining afternoon celebrating Gaelic culture in Nova Scotia.
