New Glasgow’s Johnny Miles, Port Hood’s Al MacInnis and Bruce Beaton under consideration for Nova Scotia’s top 15 athletes

The Nova Scotia Sports Hall of Fame is asking residents to help them name the top 15 athletes of the province. The list has 25 athletes ranging from hockey to gymnastics

to paddling, and from all across the province.

Bruce Rainnie is the CEO and President of the Hall, and says some athletes were easier than others to include on this list. Al MacInnis  of Port Hoodwas a unanimous selection to make the top 25:
Rainnie says that athletes such as Port Hood’s Bruce Beaton deserve recognition on this list. Beaton was a driving force for two CFL Grey Cups:

Fans can vote by visiting the Nova Scotia Sports Hall of Fame website until July 17th. Other locals on the list include marathon runner, Johnny Miles who has connections in the New Glasgow area.
