Nova Scotia Student Leaders travel to Ottawa

Students from around the county converged to the nation’s capital this week as part of National Lobby Week. Representatives from the Canadian Federation of Students are meeting with Members of Parliament to send a message.

Chairperson of the CFS Nova Scotia, Charlotte Kiddell says that parts of the post secondary education system are broken and need to be revised, especially in relation to tuition. Kiddell says the federation is asking for the government to look at a few proposals:

 

Kiddell says her and the national chairperson for the CFS had an opportunity to talk to Prime Minister Justin Tredeau regarding their proposals. So far, Kiddell says the reception from the MP’s has been quite positive.
