RCMP have laid charges in connection with a shooting in Skye Glen, Inverness County over the weekend. Police say shortly before before 11:30 Friday night, there was a call to 9-1-1 indicating a 34-year-old man had been shot in the leg at a home on Highway 252.
Police later arrested a 27-year-old man near where the shooting took place. On Saturday afternoon, a 33-year-old man was also arrested as he was walking out of a wooded area about two kilometres from the scene.
One man is charged with aggravated assault and the other is facing firearms and drug related counts.
The victim was treated for his injuries and released from hospital. All those involved in this incident are known to each other. RCMP say there’s no risk to the public.
