Port Hawkesbury Antigonish Swim Team performs well at Halifax Meet

The Port Hawkesbury Antigonish Swim Team, PHAST, sent 22 Senior & Junior Age Group swimmers to the Long Course Development meet #4 in Halifax on May 5-7th. The meet was an opportunity for swimmers to race their events before heading into the final training cycle before provincial championships. The swimmers posted a number of season best Long Course times. Hannah Austen captured 2nd in the 400m IM, and 1st in the 200m Backstroke! Malcolm Cameron set a team record in the 400m Freestyle! Aidan Doucet set a team record in the 200m IM. Joshua Elsworth swam to 2nd in the 400 IM, and 1st in both the 200m Backstroke and 200m IM!

 

Meghan Hayes took 3rd in the 400m Freestyle. Matina Kanchanatip stroked  3rd in the 100m Backstroke, 2nd in the 50m Backstroke, and 1st in the 50m Butterfly! Cein Kennedy set team records in the 50m Freestyle and Butterfly!

 

Liam Kennedy placed 3rd in the 200m Freestyle, and 2nd in the 50m Freestyle!

 

Jakalee Myette powered, 2nd in the 50m Butterfly, and 1st in the 100m Freestyle and 50m Backstroke!
