The Nova Scotia RCMP are warning residents of a new phone scam. A caller identifies as being from the Canada Revenue Agency and informs the resident to call a certain number, or else an arrest warrant would be issued.
Corporal Jennifer Clarke of the RCMP would like to remind residents that phone scams like this are common, and reputable organizations never ask for personal information. Clarke advises people to not give out any personal information over the phone.
