An affordable housing project in Antigonish is about to accept its first tenants.  The development,  scheduled to open next month, is called Riverside Estates. It has four units; two of the apartments are barrier-free for persons with disabilities.
Application forms can be picked up and dropped off at the town and county municipal offices, the Antigonish Women’s Resource Centre, and the circulation desk at the People’s Place Library. Application deadline is February 12th.
The Chair of the Antigonish Affordable Housing Society, Colleen Cameron says it’s also hired a Community Navigator for Riverside Estates, Carleton MacNeil.
MacNeil has extensive experience in the trades, business service industry and management roles at the  Strait Regional School Board.    MacNeil has also worked with a number of community organizations including Big Brothers-Big Sisters, the John Howard Society and Recovery House
