District 8 Gary Mattie says he is running for a seat on council for the Municipality of the County
of Antigonish in the upcoming municipal election.
First elected in 2016, Mattie says he enjoyed representing the residents of Tracadie, Monastery, Linwood, Merland, and other areas. He thanked District 8’s residents for giving him the opportunity to represent them and looks forward to doing so again if re-elected.
Mattie said he decided to run again to support local non-profit groups, work on local projects, and build relationships with other councillors and other councils.
