A music festival in Antigonish planned for this summer has been cancelled. The Founder and
Executive Director of Nova Scotia Summer Fest, Ray Mattie says due to the current and projected COVID-19 health and safety measures and continued travel uncertainties, the event will not proceed this year. Mattie says the safety of attendees, volunteers, artists and crews is the festival’s top priority.
Mattie says the 2022 event will be held August 19th to 21st at Columbus Field. All the acts that were scheduled to perform this year have been reconfirmed for 2022. Additional headliners will be announced later. Those who have tickets for the 2021 event will be contacted with the option of a refund or have their tickets validated for 2022.
