Antigonish Community Transit issued a request for proposals regarding an updated business plan for the service.
Madonna van Vonderen, general manager at ACT, said the province requires an updated plan 
every five years. Van Vonderen said they aren’t looking at large expansion at the moment, other than to purchase another accessible vehicle and a newer vehicle for the town bus route.
Van Vonderen said ACT’s services seem to be fitting the needs of clients in the area, adding they just want to be able to better service them.
The cut-off date is 5 p.m. September 13. Proposals must be submitted via email to antigonishcommunitytransit@gmail.com. The project is set to begin by October 1, with a draft report and budgets to be completed by November 29th for a final project completion date of no later than January 31st.
