The Antigonish County Adult Learning Association is back after a summer break.
Shayla MacDonald, executive director for ACALA, said classes are starting back up on September 14 and registration is already open. ACALA helps people prepare for the Canadian Adult Education Credential, which replaced the GED as the high school equivalency test in Canada. They offer a 13-week introduction to small business start-up entrepreneurship program, along with a slew of technology programs throughout the year, with the first two cohorts going over internet safety and using the Google workspace. MacDonald also pointed to the ACALA family book club.
