Antigonish County Council heard back from the province chief medical officer regarding a
request for an asymptomatic COVID-19 testing site at StFX after the holidays. Warden Owen McCarron says Council contacted Dr. Robert Strang asking for a site to be set up on the university campus for students returning to the area.
The warden said council is hopeful that, come January or even before, public health will make the decision to set up a testing site. McCarron said there is obviously concern but there is also a strong feeling the university and community did a good job bringing students back in September. Testing did take place in September
