Antigonish County Native Dennis Bonvie to be Inducted into the Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame

Antigonish County native Dennis Bonvie is headed to the Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame.
Bonvie is one of three athletes named in the hall’s 2026 inductees.

Bonvie appeared in 92 NHL games with six different teams after turning pro in 1993.  He spent most of his career in the American Hockey League, known for his physical style of play and his role as an enforcer.
Bonvie is now director of pro scouting with the Boston Bruins.

Broadcast Dialogue has announced the winners of the inaugural Canadian Radio Awards, which we’ve dubbed “The Howards” after our publisher emeritus Howard Christensen.

When Howard, a radio veteran and one of the original Broadcast News anchors, founded Broadcast Dialogue in 1992, he saw a need for both timely delivery of Canadian broadcast industry news, but also recognized the importance of creating a sense of community.
