An 18-year-old from Antigonish faces a charge of causing an animal to be in distress.
On July 27th, the Nova Scotia SPCA received a complaint about a dog allegedly being abused. After an investigation, the accused was located in Halifax Regional Municipality and charged. Angus Cameron is charged with one count of causing an animal to be in distress, contrary to the Animal Protection Act of Nova Scotia.
Cameron is scheduled to appear in Antigonish Provincial Court on December 20.
