The RCMP’s Provincial Internet Child Exploitation Unit charged an Antigonish man with making written child pornography.
In August 2025, the RCMP’s ICE Unit executed a warrant in the Antigonish area and charged a man with child pornography offences. As a result of the search and subsequent examination of the man’s devices, the ICE Unit located conversations with another Antigonish man that met the Criminal Code definition of child pornography.
On January 7, the ICE Unit and RCMP Digital Forensic Services, assisted by Antigonish RCMP and the Street Crime Enforcement Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on Coady Avenue, Antigonish, and seized electronic evidence.
As a result of the investigation, 33-year-old Gregg Alexander Stearns has been charged with Making Written Child Pornography.
Stearns was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Antigonish Provincial Court on May 27.
