It’s a step to give a financial boost to the inclusive sledge hockey program in the Antigonish 
area. There will be a bottle drive Friday from 4 until 7 at the Antigonish arena, with all proceeds going to the program. It’s the first inclusive program of its kind in minor hockey in the province. It has attracted interest from other minor hockey associations in Nova Scotia.

It has attracted interest from other minor hockey associations in Nova Scotia.The coach of the program is Gio Akeson, a Coady Fellow and a former Junior B Bulldog player.
Akeson says practices are underway and the first games under the program will be played in October.
