and the Antigonish Tourism Association create digital content aimed at promoting the local area.

Antigonish Tourism Association president Paul Curry said film and production crews were in the area in August taking pictures and videos at local beaches, adding more are in the area this week at local restaurants and hotels, with more filming set for November during the upcoming Antigonish Jazzfest.

Curry said videos and pics will be used in a variety of ways to promote the area, including Youtube and Facebook ads, brochures, and for placement on novascotia.com

The Antigonish Tourism Agency applied through Tourism Nova Scotia’s Digital Content Marketing Program. ATA members and other contributors, including the Town, County and Chamber of commerce provided $20,000 while Tourism Nova Scotia matched that funding, with an additional $40,000 coming through the compelling tourism communities initiative.
