Council for the Town of Antigonish hosted its swearing in ceremony at the Royal Canadian

Legion Branch 59 last night.
Antigonish Mayor Laurie Boucher, along with councillors Sean Cameron, William Cormier, Mary Farrell, Donnie McInnis, Andrew Murray, and Diane Roberts all took their oaths of office. Council also selected Murray as the Deputy Mayor for a one year term.
With the pandemic still in effect, Boucher said council and staff have to move forward while still keeping everyone safe.
Boucher said she is confident looking around the council table, adding she feels they are capable of great things. She said there is a lot of passion and experience in council chambers and feels everyone has the best interests of constituents and the community in mind.
