It’s election day at the Pictou Landing Mi’kmaw Nation. The community is holding its
band elections today.
There are three candidates running for Chief. Current Chief Andrea Paul is seeking re-election. Also running for Chief are Hubert Nicholas and Tonya Francis.
There are 30 people running for band council. The six current members of band council are seeking re-election.
