A bill that amends the Atlantic Accord has now become law. Central Nova MP Sean Fraser says the bill has received royal assent following its passage in the Senate earlier this month.
Fraser says the bill provides a framework to establish offshore renewable energy production in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.
Fraser says both provincial governments in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador have been supportive of the bill. He says it will have an impact for many years to come
