Inverness native Bonny MacIsaac in running for the District 3 seat on Inverness County Council.
The mother of four and grandmother of three has been an active member of numerous community committees. She was the first female firefighter on the Inverness Volunteer Fire Department, where she served for 13 years.
She says it is important for elected officials to promote physical and mental health wellness to their citizens, noting she is the national founder of Tar Wars Canada, a smoking prevention program for children.
She also worked with special needs children for just over two decades, adding she sees the challenges faced in our communities on many levels. She held several volunteer positions on the Inverness PC Association during Former Premier and Inverness MLA Rodney MacDonald’s time in office and as well our current MLA Allan MacMaster. In 2012, she became the Inverness PC Assocation President, and stepped down from the role from in 2019.
MacIsaac says she feels she can contribute to the betterment of Inverness and District 3 to get more accomplished. If elected, she says she will do her best and keep residents informed.
