A lingering winter storm has led to a second straight day of cancellations and delayed openings of local schools, offices and businesses.
Classes are cancelled for schools in the Chignecto Central and Strait Regional Centres for Education. There’s also no school at Paqtnkek Education Centre, Ecole Acadienne de Pomquet, Ecole NDA in Cheticamp and Ecole Beau-port in Arichat. St. FX university is delaying opening until 11 this morning. Classes are cancelled NSCC’s Pictou and Strait area campuses, and the Wagmatcook Learning Centre.

The province’s Public Works Department reports local roads are snow covered, icy patches with blowing snow and reduced visibility.
