With Roger MacKay stepping down as the Central Nova Conservative Candidate in the
upcoming federal election, the local party association is trying to figure out their next step.
Ryan Sharpe, president of the Central Nova Conservative Association, said the executive is meeting with party officials tomorrow night to discuss their options. Sharpe said they are definitely going to run a candidate in the fall, noting they can name someone up to two weeks after the government drops the writ. Shapre said they hope to share their findings shortly after Wednesday’s meeting.
While the situation is not optimal, noted Sharpe, it’s not impossible to overcome.
