Central Nova MP Sean Fraser met with business leaders in Antigonish County this morning to
get their feedback on what they’d like to see in the upcoming federal budget. Fraser, the Parliamentary Secretary to the Finance Minister, the discussion at a breakfast hosted by the Antigonish Chamber of Commerce touched on a number of issues.
Fraser says other matters raised included further investments in health care, transit, transportation, relief for small businesses, and boosting immigration to help drive the local ecomomy.
Fraser says there was also praise for government support for several local projects including the new home for CACL and the Antigonish Legion, the Antigonish Women’s Resource Centre, Mulroney Hall and the Centre for Innovation and Health at St. FX; and the new Antigonish Farmers Market building.
