Antigonish RCMP say two men have been charged following a violent incident Monday on Petow Loop. Police say one man swung a broken table leg at another man cutting his hands. RCMP say the second man then stabbed the first man several times with a knife causing injuries that required hospital treatment.
32-year-old Terry Matthew Julian of Paq’tnkek First Nation is charged with two counts of Assault with a Weapon and Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling House. He was released from custody on conditions, returning to Antigonish Provincial Court on Feburary 15th.
20-year-old Issiah Thomas Julian, also of Paq’tnkek is charged with Aggravated Assault and two counts of Failing to Comply with Conditions. He has been remanded in custody until an appearance in court on March 1.
Police are continuing their investigation
