StFX University’s Coady International Institute has announced a new flagship program for
Coady International Institute at St. FX University
development leaders.
The institute says Leadership for Citizen-led Development is a new 10-month course aimed at bringing a diverse group of people “committed to fostering social, economic, and political change”. The program will feature an online pre-residential phase, a three month residential phase, and a five month post residential online phase, during which time Coady staff will continue to work with students in their home communities.
Gord Cunningham, executive director with the Coady, said the program will begin next April. Cunningham said there will be a slate of new courses for next year, noting where they ran nine programs this year, they are hoping to run as many as 16 next year.
Cunningham called the new program an exciting opportunity.
