Lost Shores Thunder Rally, September 10 to 12 @ Stanfest Event site, Canso
Jul 4 @ 12:00 pm – Jul 6 @ 12:00 pm

Are you ready for a little Thunder in the forecast?  As the COVID veil lifts, Canso Area Development Association (CADA) have decided to proceed with the 2nd annual Lost Shores Thunder Rally at the Stanfest site in Canso September 10-12th.  The event has unofficially become known as the ‘music festival for motorcycles’. Proceeds of the event go to support local minor hockey and figure skating.

Highlight of the event is the Saturday poker run showcasing beautiful oceanfront scenery with stops at Halfway Cove Lookoff, Port Felix and Black Duck Cove in Little Dover.  The final stop at Whitman’s Wharf in Canso will include a tribute to fallen riders and an acknowledgement of the 20th anniversary of the 9-11 tragedy.

Once again, Stanfest and the Canso Lions club are key partners to provide a weekend of camping, food and music. Lions Club will be serving hearty breakfasts each morning and Avery’s Independent grocery store is providing their delicious panini sandwiches for the Saturday lunch. There will be roast pig for Saturday supper and AJ’s Pub will support the event with Friday supper options and evening snacks on site. Local musicians are once again providing two nights of exceptional musical talent.

Registration is selling briskly, with the early birds getting the $99 weekend pass for camping, food, music and event T-shirt. Details and registration at https://lostshoresthunderrally.ca/
