The “Good Morning” Book Club meets monthly at 10am the Stellarton Library! The “Good Night” Book Club also meets each month, from 7 to 8 pm.

VON 50/50 Fundraiser @ Online

Did you know? Beyond nursing and home support, VON serves thousands of clients in Nova Scotia every week through Community Support Services, including: Meals-on-Wheels, Transportation, Adult Day Programs and more…

COVID-19 has fundamentally changed the way in which VON is able to raise funds to support community programs, which rely heavily on donor support. We are seeking your help to keep important VON programs running by inviting you to participate in our monthly 50/50 raffle – drawn on the 2nd Thursday of each month! Your support through this raffle will help ensure that VON programs continue to serve vulnerable people in communities across Nova Scotia.

Winner is drawn the 2nd Thursday of every month starting May 2021 – with ticket sales closing at 11:59pm on the 2nd Monday of the month.

Lindsay’s Health Centre for Women @ Antigonish Women's Resource Centre, 219 Main Street

Lindsay’s Health Centre for Women is a partnership of the Guysborough Antigonish Strait Health Authority, the Antigonish Women’s Resource Centre and the medical community. Services are provided by a multi-disciplinary team that includes Mental Health Services, Addictions Services, Public Health Services, the Women’s Centre, a physician and a nurse practitioner. Along with the medical care provided by the physician and nurse practitioner, Lindsay’s Health Centre offers a series of programs that are designed to help women make informed decisions about their health.

Due to the Heat Warning, the August 5th Art Fair will take place in the MacKay Room at Bloomfield Centre on the St. FX Campus. Masks are required.

Jax Mac Foundation Co-Ed Softball Tournament, August 13 & 14 @ Lower South River Ballfields

Sign up for a two day, 16 team Co-Ed softball tournament to raise funds for the Jax Mac Foundation: the Foundation helps youth pursue their passion in sport, travel and entrepreneurship.

There will be auction items, raffle items, 50/50, canteen and lots of memories made. All 16 teams are filled, however, to get added to the wait list or make a donation of items to help make the day the best day it can be, please email kara-macdonald@hotmail.com
