With the provincial government still calculating the costs of washed out roads in Inverness County, local MLA Allan MacMaster said it’s possible the federal government might be able to help as well.
MacMaster said the federal government offers disaster assistance relief to provincial governments when a certain level of damage occurs. A release from MacMaster’s office stated the relief can be available when the costs move beyond $3 million.
MacMaster said there are damaged roads across Inverness county that are in need of fixing.
