There was a dedication service in Antigonish over the weekend for the new site of the

cenotaph. It was moved last month from Chisholm Park to Columbus Field.
The service included the singing of the National and Royal Anthems, last post and the laying of the commemorative first wreath.
The Chaplain of the Royal Canadian Legion Arras Branch 59, Reverend Peter Smith, says each name on the cenotaph tells a story of a life offered for the greater good and a place where a sacrifice was made for our behalf.
Smith says the names oN the cenotaph stand as a reminder of what we have been given and what has been entrusted to us.
