will run in the upcoming Liberal Leadership race, with the election set for February 6.

When asked why he decided to run, Delorey said it is a combination of the times we are living in and the fact the new leader will also become the premier. He said the winner will need strong leadership, a skill he feels he has demonstrated over his term so far in office.

Other areas of concern for Delorey include education and systemic social issues.

First elected in 2013 and re-elected in 2018, Delorey also served as minister of finance and the environment. He thanked everyone for their support so far.
