The Town of New Glasgow announced the docks outside Glasgow Square Theatre have been replaced with new EZ Dock floating docks.
This project was supported through $33,000 from the Provincial Recreation Facility Development Grant and $27,200 from the Trans Canada Trail Trail Catalyst Fund.
The new docks replace the aging wooden dock system with durable, low-maintenance materials expected to last more than 40 years , which will im prove safety, accessibility, and public access to t he East River for residents and visitors. The docks support recreational use for paddlers, include the existing accessible kayak launch, and are also used annually for Race on the River.
