A new docu-series is currently in production at Sherbrooke Village.
It is called “The Great Amherst Haunting”.
The show is produced by Mariah MacDonald, a St. Andrews native. MacDonald also produced “The Fire Ghost of Caledonia Mills”, an Antigonish County ghost story that aired last year.

MacDonald says the success of last year’s series, led to the development of this production.
This latest production focuses on poltergeist activity that occurred in Amherst in 1878 and 1879.
The series features an all-Nova Scotia cast, with most performers from Pictou, Antigonish, and Guysborough Counties, and Cape Breton Island Filming wraps up Saturday. The series is expected to air on Bell Fibe TV One later this year.
