East Coast Credit Union has awarded a $40,000 Community Compass Grant to The North Grove in Dartmouth North. The funding will support the launch of the group’s social-purpose business venture Primrose Preserves.

The project brings together community members to collaborate in food preparation, skill development and community building. Revenue from the sale of jams, jellies and chutneys produced by the participants will be reinvested directly into programming at the community centre on Primrose Street.

Each year, East Coast Credit Union provides $150,000 through the Community Compass Grant to support social-purpose and cooperative-based business ventures across the province.

989 XFM is very proud to be the winner of the 2020 Station of Year – Small Market award.
