The Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) recently accepted a donation of $100,000 from 14 Nova Scotia credit unions, including East Coast Credit Union. A release from the VON states the funding will support VON’s digital health transformation, VON Connect.
VON Connect will automate many formerly manual procedures, allowing VON frontline staff to have client files at their fingertips, while following clinical best practices to make sure mo
re Nova Scotians receive care at home and in their communities.
Sally van de Wiel, vice-president of operations with East Coast Credit Union, said the East Coast Credit Union rallied other credit unions with the idea for the donation, noting they liked the idea of helping the VON.
Van de Wiel said the donation was enabled by members of the credit unions.
