Join Cape Breton author Francene Gillis at the book launch of her new, nonfiction book called And Momma Cried, a collection of true stories told from multiple narrators about a local family and the impact of their four sons enlisting in WWII. Written by a professional writer and longtime educator, it  highlights the realities of war and sacrifices made for us  It celebrates Atlantic soldiers and their families left out of military books. For the launch we will take a step back into history to hear the silent voices and experience some of what life was like in the 1940s. All are welcome. In honour of war veterans, bring a photo of a beloved veteran or some other 1940s memento to share.
