The Ships of 1801 Society is making final preparations for its latest production featuring characters from the Keppoch.
This year’s show is called “Father Moses Coady and the Sisters of St. Martha go to the Keppoch”, with performances next month.

Producer and script writer, Duncan MacDonald, says he was inspired write the show to mark the 125th anniversary of the Sisters of St. Martha.
MacDonald says the story envisions a visit by Coady, the first director of the St. FX Extension Department and a field worker, Alec “Tando” MacIsaac to coordinate efforts so everyone is working together as a cooperative, and follow-up with kitchen meetings for adult education. MacDonald says Coady is joined by two members of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Martha.
“Father Moses Coady and the Sisters of St. Martha go to the Keppoch” is at St. FX University’s Schwartz Auditorium from July 2nd to 5th, and July 7th at Strathspey Place in Mabou. Tickets for the Antigonish shows are limited and are available at Antigonish 5 to a Dollar, MacQuarrie’s Pharmasave and MacDonalds Convenience in St. Andrews. Mabou tickets can be purchased at the Bridge Museum and Strathespey Place.
