Central Nova MP says the Forum for Ministers Responsible for Immigration was held at the National Immigration Museum at Pier 21 in Halifax.
Fraser says given the scale of the labour shortage, and provincial government knowledge of their local markets, it made sense to see such a significant increase.
Fraser is hopeful Nova Scotia will continue to welcome a large number of newcomers over the next year.
