Fire has damaged a local business in Antigonish.
Antigonish Town Firefighters were called to the scene of the blaze at Pipers Pub on College Street after 7 this morning.
The Antigonish County Volunteer Fire Department were called in to assist.
Town of Antigonish officials say residents may notice brown or discoloured water today; it’s the result of a fire department response to the fire.
On its Facebook page, Pipers Pub says early this morning their kitchen caught fire; everyone is safe and no one was hurt.
Pub officials say they are focusing on rebuilding; adding the support from the community already has been very emotional to everyone. The pub will be closed for now and will provide an update when they are able to.
