The Canadian Red Cross is helping a local man displaced after a fired damaged an older two-
storey house in Pictou.
Canadian Red Cross volunteers helped the man with emergency lodging and funds for purchases like food, clothing and some other basic items.
There were no injuries from the fire on St. Andrews Street, reported shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday
