Environment Canada and the Provincial Health and Wellness Department are again warning of
air quality issues in Nova Scotia from distant forest fires.
The two government departments have issued another air quality statement for much of the province. They say smoke from forest fires in western Canada have spread over Nova Scotia. While most smoke will remain aloft, some has descended to near ground level causing reduced air quality. The associated haze is giving the sun and reddish appearance.
