Four local businesses were on the receiving end of the province’s Business Access-Ability grants for accessibility improvements.
Eagle’s Chance Golf and Driving Range in New Glasgow received $45,000, Playfinder Inc. In Merigomish picked up just over $10,000 , Seawind Landing Country Inn in Larry’s River got over $21,000, and Motel Gisele limited in Baddeck received $50,000.
Eligible projects include physical improvements such as ramps, accessible washrooms and automatic door openers, as well as upgrades to signage, assistive technology, communications and transportation.
