The Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit arrested four people after a search in McLellans Brook.
On December 16, at approximately 6:07 a.m., officers with the enforcement unit executed a search warrant at a property on MacKenzie Road. At the home, officers took four people into custody and seized seven long guns, four imitation handguns, ammunition and stolen property in excess of $5,000.
The RCMP Emergency Response Team, RCMP Police Dog Service, Pictou County District RCMP and Antigonish – Guysborough SCEU supported the search.

A 51-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman, both from McLellans Brook, a 33-year-old woman from Thorburn, and a 40-year-old man from Pictou County, each face several charges. The charges include seven counts each of Possession of a Firearm while Knowing its Unauthorized, Unsafe Storage of Firearms, and Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, 11 counts each of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and one count each of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000.
The Pictou County man is also facing 14 counts of Firearms Possession Contrary to Prohibition Order. He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Pictou Provincial Court at a later date.
The man and woman from McLellans Brook and the woman from Thorburn were released on conditions. They are scheduled to appear in Pictou Provincial Court at a later date.
