A soccer match tonight as part of the Antigonish Highland Games will mix language and culture to the sport.
Alba FA, based in Inverness, Scotland will play the Halifax Wanderers U21 team at 6 pm at St. FX Stadium.
Alba FA is a Gaelic speaking football organization established to connect, inspire and grow the Gaelic language through football activities both nationally in Scotland and internationally as well.

Players on the adult team are made up of Gaelic speakers from across Scotland. In between training sessions, the team is taking events associated with the Highland Games.
Alba FA Development Officer Calum Ferguson says the club has developed a unique connection with the Wanderers. Ferguson says it began a few years ago when he was playing professionally in Canada, with Valour FC of Winnipeg in the Canadian Premier League. Ferguson says he played against the Wanderers in that league and became fascinated with the club.
On the line with the match is a trophy. To the winner goes the Atlantic Cup, an idea developed in partnership with Gaelic businesses.
