Some relief at the gas pump for motorists.
The Utility and Review Board invoked the Interrupter Clause to lower the price of gasoline by five cents a litre. The minimum price for a litre of regular self-serve unleaded is now $1.89.5 in the eastern mainland, and $1.90.3 on Cape Breton.
Invoking the Interrupter Clause only applied to the price of gasoline; diesel is unchanged.
The adjustment comes ahead of Friday’s weekly setting of gasoline and diesel prices.
