The Glasgow Square Theatre in New Glasgow will feature a show in November that offers a mix of live music, storytelling and history centred on the Battle of Vimy Ridge in World War One. There were more than 10,000 Canadian casualties in that battle.
The highly-acclaimed production “RIDGE” will be performed by The Fugitives, a Vancouver folk music group. “RIDGE” was nominated for the 2022 JUNO Award for Best Traditional Roots Album and has been presented to audiences across Canada. The show will presented at Glasgow Square on November 18th
Program, Culture and Events Manager with the Town of New Glasgow Morgan Simm says with the support of Veterans Affairs Canada, the show will be free.
Tickets are available for no charge online at glasgowsquare.com. Tickets are required to reserve a seat for the show. Donations will be accepted at the door in support of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Glasgow Theatre’s Moments for Everyone, which provides free tickets through the Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library.
